About Us
From the Trenches. For the Forgotten.
We don't just talk about helping people, we've lived it.
Our Story
Born in the Struggle
From the Trenches Ministries was built from the ground up by people who know what it means to hit rock bottom and find a way back. We didn't start in a boardroom or a seminary. We started in the streets, the jails, the shelters, and the halfway houses.
Our founder walked the same road as the men and women we serve. That's not a talking point; it's the foundation of everything we do. When you've been where they've been, you don't look down on people. You reach back and pull them up.
What started as one person helping one person has grown into a full ministry — recovery houses, reentry programs, community classes, and a network of people who refuse to give up on anyone.
What It Means
What 'From the Trenches' Really Means
"The trenches aren't a metaphor. They're where we come from, and where we go back to serve."
The trenches are the places society doesn't want to look at. The addiction. The incarceration. The homelessness. The shame. We don't avoid those places, we go straight into them. Because that's where the people are who need help the most, and that's where real change happens.
Our Mission
Why We Exist
From the Trenches Ministries exists to walk alongside individuals rebuilding their lives from addiction, incarceration, and homelessness. We provide recovery support, transitional housing, and resources that foster stability, accountability, and growth.
Our mission extends beyond personal transformation — we educate the community, bridge understanding, and create opportunities to give back, ensuring that those once broken can rise to serve, inspire, and strengthen others.
What We Stand For
Our Values
Radical Honesty
No sugarcoating. No pretending. We tell the truth about where people are and what it takes to get out.
Lived Experience
Our team has walked the road. We don't just understand the struggle — we've survived it.
No One Left Behind
We don't give up on people. Not after one relapse. Not after two. Not ever.
Community Over Institution
Real healing happens in relationship — not in programs. We build community first.
Spiritual, Not Religious
We believe in something bigger than ourselves. We don't push doctrine — we walk alongside people in their own journey.
Dignity Always
Every person who walks through our doors is treated with full human dignity — no exceptions, no conditions.
